Star Wavra

Co-Owner

Star Wavra is the co-founder of Field & Main Restaurant and Fable Hospitality. She draws on decades of hospitality experience to help guide the restaurant and represent its interests in the community. 

Hailing from Michigan, just outside of Ann Arbor, Star began her hospitality career serving in multiple dining establishments. Her foundational experience was at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee, where she held positions in guest services, group sales, and accounting. 

Star moved to Virginia in the Fall of 2008 and soon took over operations of The Ashby Inn in Paris, Virginia with her husband Neal Wavra. Here she oversaw reservations, marketing, events and sales.

Always a passion for dance, Star spent several years working at the Dancer’s Boutique fitting pointe shoes. She has appeared in Centre Company’s production of the Nutcracker in Warrenton the last 6 years and enjoys dancing hip hop and ballet. 

When Star is not working, she is active in the PTO and all facets of her two daughters’ lives. She loves to travel almost as much as she loves planning the trip. In particular, Star enjoys camping, photography, and spending time with her family.
