Caitlin Love

Dining Room Manager/Sommelier

Caitlin brings more than 20 years of hospitality and beverage experience to Field & Main, built through a rich and diverse career across the greater Washington, D.C. region and Virginia wine country. Raised in Potomac, Maryland, she later graduated from the University of Arizona in 2005 before returning home and stepping into her first restaurant role. This experience quickly revealed her natural affinity for hospitality.

She began her professional journey at The Irish Inn at Glen Echo, then joined Passion Food Hospitality, where she continued developing her management and service skills across several acclaimed concepts, including Acadiana, TenPenh, and District Commons. Caitlin expanded her leadership skills with the Clover Restaurant Group, followed by three impactful years at The Dabney, where she was part of the opening team and which deepened her exposure to elevated dining and refined beverage programs.

In 2018, after falling in love with the world of wine, Caitlin shifted her focus and joined Linden Vineyards as a tasting room attendant. Her role quickly broadened to include harvest work, vineyard tasks, and hosting wine dinners at local restaurants. These hands-on experiences strengthened her technical understanding of wine and viticulture.

In 2021, Caitlin transitioned from Linden to open a wine shop in Front Royal, later taking on a role at a bourbon-focused restaurant in Middletown. Read to return to a wine-centric program, she became Beverage Director at Goodstone Inn in Middleburg, refining her approach to program development, service leadership, and guest experience.

A longtime admirer and patron of Field & Main, Caitlin was delighted to see the Dining Room Manager position open and applied immediately. She joined the team in August 2025, bringing with her deep management experience, service expertise, and extensive wine knowledge—along with a genuine passion for hospitality in our region.

Caitlin earned her WSET Level 3 certification in 2021 and continues advancing her wine education. She loves the ever-changing nature of wine—where history, biology, chemistry, and meteorology meet in each vintage—which keeps the craft endlessly engaging. Outside of work, Caitlin enjoys traveling with her husband, cooking at home, hiking, and relaxing with her two dogs and cat.
